How do we receive all of the blessings God has in store for us?

What do we need to do to prepare for God’s blessings?

How serious are we about pleasing God?

What kind of example are we setting for our children?

My eldest daughter turned 47 in August. My second daughter turned 34 in August. My youngest daughters are 7 and 10 and my son is 12. Three different dads raised my children. I was all three of them, very different for each three age groups.

My first daughter had a dad who worked three jobs was was seldom there to play with her. He smoked as did her mom and thought more about his cars than about his family. She grew up thinking there was a Santa Claus and Easter Bunny.

Her mom and I divorced when she was five and i had little contact with her until she turned twenty. I was a thief, a liar and a cheat. She grew up around worldly parents. Thankfully she was introduced to Jesus and today is in full time ministry with her husband in Ohio.

My second daughter was born into a Christian home and got lots of attention and love. She gave her life to Christ at age four and was baptised in the Holy Spirit. When she was twelve her parents divorced. Today she is not following Jesus. He fiance is being drawn away from Christ by her. She is a prayer concern of mine as is he.

My next two were born into secular home with a luke warm dad and unsaved mom. Their parents divorced when the eldest was six. When he turned eight, his dad ignited with the love of Jesus. Life changed radically. We started Children’s Church at home on Sundays. These two learned that they were spirits and God is the God of spirits. Their dad committed to following Christ at any cost.

The effect has touched all of the children. Integrity opens doors that we never knew existed. Integrity is easily explained as never telling a lie. Not even telling a lie to one’s self. Being who we are and not somebody else. Integrity prepares us for Holiness. Holiness prepares us for the Baptism in Fire!

What do you want from God?

As a dad I can tell you what pleases dads! Doing what they ask when they ask it! I want to please my Father in heaven. I love my son and when he does what I ask I want to give him all that I have. Us dads are the example our children see. If we lie, they will have a harder time believing God than if we are a good example.

Live a life of integrity for your children’s sake.
